My previous post of my composite image Phoebe at Sea met with a little flack, to tell you the truth. I know, some of it had to have been in jest, but I had a few people concerned that Phoebe wasn't going to make it out alive. That her kind of dog sort of sinks, not swims. She was too far from shore. She needed a rescue boat or a piece of the shore in view. She was from the Titanic. (Huh?)
She was rescued, I tell you, rescued! Rescue dogs are rescued and Phoebe is a rescue dog!!! Originally from a bad breeder, she's now living the dream!
Plus, it's a make believe image, I don't have to tell you that.
So shortly on the heels of Phoebe at Sea, I created one with my cat Kiwi. Now I'm not playing favorites... but my cat gets rescued while the Frenchie seemingly doesn't. Everyone in my composites makes it out alive!
Anyway, here is my awesome cat Kiwi, whom you've seen many times on my Storytelling Sessions site. Kiwi was rescued, too. If you have a long memory, you'll recall Kiwi and his brother Mango were adopted from the East Valley Animal Shelter in Van Nuys, California in June 2015. They aren't related but both were about 3 at the time. Mango was an owner surrender and Kiwi was a stray. Mango is pure black and Kiwi is a tuxedo. Kiwi is easy to photograph because he isn't pure black and plus, he kind of likes it. Oh sure, I have plenty of Mango but usually not unless I take the lights out for a session. And yes, this one of Kiwi was from a session.
So here you go. A rescue ladder and a little chop from the unseen rescue helicopter is on the surface of the water.
We good now? Everyone is rescued.
