My friend Scott McIntosh, the creator of the app and website Dog Sniffer, has put together his first analog map, the Dog Sniffer Guide to Dog Friendly Beverly Hills, which is, of course, of dog-friendly establishments in Beverly Hills (more Southern California cities to come... Santa Monica, anyone?).
He launched the map last week at Pussy and Pooch Lifestyle Center in Beverly Hills, which is a spacious, deluxe boutique for dogs that offers all kinds of retail products and services.
To inaugurate his map, he invited his fellow concierge colleagues (Scott's full-time job is as a concierge of a Beverly Hills hotel) to come with their dogs and have libations and other treats from a few of the vendors Scott knows. And I was one of them! I volunteered to take photos in a sort of makeshift photo booth using P&P's amazing acid green/white wallpaper with hydrants as the backdrop. And as luck would have it, there was a white chair covered with the same green I could use for the smaller dogs to sit on. It turned out great.
There were only a dozen or so dogs there but we had a lot of fun and the people did, too. Sprinkles represented with both doggy and human cupcakes. Food came from El Baldi and Fridal, and wine was by Jordane Andrieu of Heritage Fine Wines. What's not to like?
And in everyone's gift bag was a book co-written by the Pomeranian Gentleman Norman, "How to Be a Man."
Check out these wonderful faces. And then head on over to Dog Sniffer and check out all the dog-friendly places in Southern California!
And then after that, give me a call at 818.481.5214 and book your own private pet photography session!
