I have the honor of doing a little photography once in a while for Hope for Paws, one of my favorite rescue organizations. You know their work... the really harrowing, heart-wrenching videos they produce. I began donating to them long before I volunteered to do some photography for them.
I got a call from Lisa Arturo of Hope for Paws to photograph Lois and Clark, two companions who were living in a truck yard. And I was available and happy to do it. But first, here's the video of their rescue:
Hope for Paws is hoping to get them adopted together as they are very devoted to each other. I took many pictures of them this week, including this one of Lois giving her boyfriend a big kiss. They are super sweet together. Poor Clark, who does smile, appears to be the worried one while Lois is the more outgoing of the two. But they are really so good together, if would be a shame if they weren't able to be adopted together.
They are currently being cared for by the LA Animal Rescue Organization.
You can see more of the images on the Hope for Paws Flickr site. If you believe in their mission, as I do, maybe you could donate a few dollars to ensure they are able to keep up their rescues.
And for a shameless plug, mention Hope for Paws when booking a session with me and you'll get a 20 percent discount.
