Kim Sill has produced "Saved in America," a documentary on her findings and subsequent protests of the puppy mill industry along with her admiration for the boots on the ground volunteers of animal rescues.The documentary opened Friday for a weeklong run at the Agoura Hills Stadium 8. Kim founded Shelter Hope Pet Shoppe, which now has shops in Thousand Oaks, Sacramento and Santa Clarita. They are model pet shops because the animals offered for adoption come straight out of the shelters, not puppy mills.
