Inka and Cinnamon's Video

I just finished the video of Inka and Cinnamon, the mother and daughter labs I photographed in Huntington Beach Park not too long ago. In fact, I wrote a blog post about the pair and promised I would update it once I created the video. What makes this fun is when, well, you need to watch it if you already don't know the kicker. But yeah, all hell broke loose on this outing. It was a harrowing few moments but all's well that end's well.I love the song that I picked for it, too. "Best Day of My Life" by the American Authors. Check it out, it's fun. And I think it was the best day of their life. Well. Maybe not THE best, but certainly they're going to remember this park.By the way, on this ...

Inka and Cinnamon's Video

I had a photo shoot this morning with Cinnamon and her mother Inka, beautiful labrador retrievers. All was going well. We got nice headshots, nice body shots, lying down, sitting up, together, separate, trees in the background, lake in the background. Very, very nice little shoot. And then, you know, I add video to my slideshow presentations so there was just that one little pesky thing to do. Get Diana and Ed to walk with Cinnamon and Inka. Just a little walk. That was great, can we do it over here? Walking away from the shore of the pond? And that's when all hell broke loose. Cinnamon slipped the surly bonds of her leash and went duck hunting. Inka went in right after her. We were all so ...

Inka and Cinnamon's Video

I zipped down to Newport Beach yesterday to photograph some new dogs that the Little Red Dog and Mutts in Need are trying to find homes for. First, let me tell you a little about my experience. So I am driving down the street to where Mutts in Need is where I'm going to meet Kym. I heard barking. Lots of barking. And as I'm driving down Riverside Drive, a cul-de-sac, it dawns on me that most of the houses I'm seeing in this residential neighborhood have "kennel" or something written on them. These are just homes, not businesses, or at least that's what they look from the outside.Kym told me that about 20 years ago, this street was zoned agricultural and that's why these residental homes ...

Inka and Cinnamon's Video

We had a great time yesterday at Top Dog Barkery in Newport Beach with a whole lot of dogs coming in their holiday finest for their photo shoot. We had Bandit, Gracie, Ellie, Fritz, Piper, Gabby, Monster and the two blind and deaf dogs, Olive and Muffin. I single out Olive and Muffin because they sure played a mean pinball. I jest. Extra points if you get the reference! The pet parents of our intrepid subjects receive a metal ornament and 5x7 digital file to make their own Christmas cards. Fun!This is our second event with Top Dog Barkery and we sure do love the place. Owner Karen and her staff have a huge selection of baked goods they make right on the premises. They have a lot of wheat-free ...
