We were honored by our clients and friends with their votes for the Los Angeles' Hot List Best Pet Photographer for 2018! It's our second consecutive win, though the last time they had the contest was in 2014.

Now I've said it before and I'll say it again. It's a popularity contest. I get it. I rallied the most votes. But those are the rules and that's what we go by. There is no committee analyzing Los Angeles' pet photography by quality or by sales or any other measurable criteria except who gets the most votes. And I've also said this before... I stand by my pet photography work. I love my clients and their owners (see what I did there?) and the privilege I have in photographing them.

Of anything I've ever photographed in my life, it's dogs and cats that have grabbed my heart and my love and delivered me to my pure bliss. Spending my time in the company of beautiful, well-loved animals and the people that love them has been the greatest joy of my life. People say all the time that I have such patience to photograph pets but not really. It's easy -- mostly -- because they are so much fun. Sometimes we have to repeat some things just to make sure we've nailed it but for the most part, it's kind of a breeze -- not to say I didn't have to learn how to work with animals. Dogs and cats make it a joyous experience for me.

I'd be disingenuous if I didn't say this meant nothing to me... it does. Because of the people who voted for me. So once again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for voting for me and letting me earn this award with the currency of your votes.

And I hope if you've never had the experience of having your pet photographed by me, I can show you why we were able to come out on top with votes from our clients. We love, admire, and respect animals and I hope you can see it through the lens of my camera.
