I just had the most fun week where we managed to photograph I think 11 dogs over five days of shooting. It was just so great, starting at the Jesus Wall Studio on Sunday with two clients we booked for those sessions... it included a tortoise! Then we had one of our Grammy bag recipients give us a call and we created an Eeyore-inspired composite for her differently abled dog named Eeyore. You know, Eeyore floating through the air attached to a red balloon? That one. And we photographed brother Roo as well.Next we were on to a Mother's Day gift card... this one had three dogs... a Greyhound, an Italian Greyhound, and a Pomeranian. His mom Bethany was looking for a photo shoot to put his beautiful image on the cover of the Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue's calendar.We met at Kenneth Hahn State Park in Culver City. Now what is so great about this huge park is that there are lots of gorgeous areas to shoot in including one area with the skyline of downtown L.A. in the background and one where you see the buildings of Century City. It just depends on where you go in the park, it's hard to get both skylines in one sunset ...
I always like photographing people and their pets. I actually call it Creatures and Their People. And I like learning, especially with a group of talented pet photographers and that's exactly what I got when I signed up for Kristie Lee's Pets and People Workshop in downtown Los Angeles.
